Under 12 & Rookies
This summer we are set to enter at least three teams across the Under 12 and Rookies Competitions.
All games are played on Saturday mornings between 8.30am and 10.45am.
Based off last year's number we anticipate we will have:
1x Hardball Under 12C team
The games are played with a hard cricket ball and have 'outs' and play 20/20 games. Players generally progress to Under 12C cricket after 1 or 2 seasons playing in Rookies.
2-3x Rookies teams for players aged 7-10.
These are introductory games of cricket played with a soft plastic incrediball with no 'outs', meaning all players can bat and bowl for a set period of balls.
Blasters
Cluden Cricket Blast is a 14-week introduction to cricket program.
This program has been run at Cluden for over 20 years and majority of our current senior players begun in this pathway as 6-9 year olds.
Blasters runs from 9.15am - 10.30am at William Street Reserve, Brighton throughout the summer on Saturday morning. Blasters learn the basics of cricket in a super fun environment alongside their friends and future teammates.
All sessions are run by accredited coaches and senior players, led by Head of Blasters Mark Mclean.
It is a great family affair with our Under 12s playing out in the middle, while the Blasters use the outfield and the nets. The canteen (including a coffee machine) is also running each week, including the famous Cluden Egg & Bacon Rolls.
Session Dates for 2026-27 are:

February 6, 13, 20, 27 (Presentation Day)
Under 14, 16 & 18s
Depending on numbers, we are hopeful of fielding at least 1x Under 14, 1x Under 16 and 1x Under 18 side.
Under 14s and Under 16s is played on Friday night from 4.30pm - 7pm, with William Street Reserve, Brighton used as the Home Ground. The season begins on October 9.
Under 18s begin their season in November and play on Wednesday night, with William Street Reserve, Brighton used as the Home Ground.
Registration will be available closer to Round 1.
